What is opmsg ?

It's a message system, an alternative to email. You can send / receive messages from members on opmsg.com, just like the way you use your email client.

Why is it better then just Email ?

opmsg.com is a centered messaging system, where the message sending and receiving are entirely controllable in the system. Unlike Email. Blocking SPAM is much easier in this system then in the world-wide totally distributed Emailing system.

Isn't this pretty much like Twitter

Yes, in a way. It's all about passing messages to friends et al.

How do I setup my Avatar ?

Opmsg support Openvatar directly, it is suggested that you visit Openvatar, login with the same OpenID here, and upload your Avatar to there. This way you will have cross-site openid-based avatar.

However, if Openvatar failed to host your avatar image for some reason, you may still upload your avatar to opmsg.com.

Can I use Emoticon in here ?

Yes, opmsg fully support MSN Emoticons, feel free to use them in your messages
